DESCRIPTION:Alpha\nWhat is Alpha? \nDo you know anyone curious to know more about the Christian faith? Wondering what life is all about or asking ‘Is this all there is to life? \nPlease invite them or bring them to Alpha where we explore these questions. Or come along yourself to chat about topics like \n\nWhy did Jesus die?\nWhy pray?\nWhy read the Bible? and\nWho is the Holy Spirit and what does the Holy Spirit do?\n\nAll are welcome\, it’s a chance to explore the questions of life and faith. \nWhen does Alpha meet? \nWe’re meeting in Dalmeny on Thursday evenings at 6.30pm from September 17th to November 26th. Each session involves a meal\, a video\, and a time for discussion. \nFor more information and to register your interest click here \nWhat happens at the meetings? \nWe watch a half hour DVD on a topic such as \n\n‘Who is Jesus?’\n‘How and Why should I read the Bible?’\n‘Does God heal today?’\nSessions on prayer\, the Holy Spirit\, suffering\, and church.\n\nWe’ll start with a light supper at 6.30pm and finish by 8.30pm \nIt’s all free\, informal and everyone is welcome. \nWho is Alpha for? \nJoin a series of group conversations that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open\, friendly environment. At each Alpha session\, you’ll be hosted in a small group and watch an episode on a different question of faith – then you have a chance to share your thoughts and hear what others think. You can say anything you like\, or nothing at all. \nSome of us were already church members before we did Alpha but it has deepened our faith and led to a better relationship with God\, Jesus and the Holy Spirit: some who come have no faith or very little knowledge. \nRegister here\n \n  \n
