Wondering what life is all about or asking ‘Is this all there is to life? \nPlease invite them or bring them to Alpha where we explore these questions. Or come along yourself to chat about topics like \n\nWhy did Jesus die?\nWhy pray?\nWhy read the Bible? and\nWho is the Holy Spirit and what does the Holy Spirit do?\n\nAll are welcome\, it’s a chance to explore the questions of life and faith. \nWhen does Alpha meet? \nWe’re meeting in Dalmeny on Thursday evenings at 6.30pm from September 17th to November 26th. Each session involves a meal\, a video\, and a time for discussion. \nFor more information and to register your interest click here \nWhat happens at the meetings? \nWe watch a half hour DVD on a topic such as \n\n‘Who is Jesus?’\n‘How and Why should I read the Bible?’\n‘Does God heal today?’\nSessions on prayer\, the Holy Spirit\, suffering\, and church.\n\nWe’ll start with a light supper at 6.30pm and finish by 8.30pm \nIt’s all free\, informal and everyone is welcome. \nWho is Alpha for? \nJoin a series of group conversations that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open\, friendly environment. At each Alpha session\, you’ll be hosted in a small group and watch an episode on a different question of faith – then you have a chance to share your thoughts and hear what others think. You can say anything you like\, or nothing at all. \nSome of us were already church members before we did Alpha but it has deepened our faith and led to a better relationship with God\, Jesus and the Holy Spirit: some who come have no faith or very little knowledge. \nRegister here\n \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Baby Loss Awareness – Ribbon Display\nBaby Loss Awareness Week 2026\n\n9th – 15th October \nRemembering every baby\, supporting every family. \nTo mark Baby Loss Awareness Week\, Dalmeny and Queensferry Parish Church will be hosting a special ribbon display at the main gates of Queensferry Church from 9th–15th October. \nThe display is a place to remember and honour babies who have died during pregnancy\, at birth\, or in infancy\, and to acknowledge the families\, friends and communities who continue to carry their loss. \nEach ribbon represents a story\, a precious life remembered\, and a love that continues. \nThis display aims to provide a quiet\, visible reminder that no baby is forgotten and no family should feel alone in their grief. \nEveryone is welcome to take a moment at the display\, whether you have experienced baby loss yourself\, are supporting someone who has\, or simply wish to stand alongside families during Baby Loss Awareness Week. \nA ribbon of remembrance\nWe invite members of our community to join us in remembering babies who are no longer with us. A ribbon can be a simple but meaningful way to say: \n“You are remembered. You are loved. DESCRIPTION:Meet Santa & Christmas Art Shack! \nCome join us at Queensferry Parish Church for a jolly good time with Santa Claus himself! This is your chance to have Santa read you a story and then tell him your Christmas wishes in person and maybe even snap a photo or two. Don’t miss out on this magical opportunity to meet the man in red! \nThere will be crafts and games as well as our wonderful cafe for drinks and treats! \n10am till 11am – Quiet hour for ASN and children that just need a quieter space – Book a half hour slot and turn up any time within that half an hour for a more relaxed time! The session will be completely flexible\, have a sing along\, just pop in and say hi\, whatever suits. (10 bookable spaces available for each half hour) \n11am onwards open to all – Groups to see Santa will be 10 children at a time (each child will get time with Santa after the story) No more than 2 adults per child in with Santa due to capacity. \nPlease arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your time selected to see Santa. You’re welcome to come earlier\, and write a letter to Santa or to enjoy the crafts. \nThose who book for the last session at 3:30pm\, please allow times for crafts and cafe before meeting Santa as we will close them when the last group goes into meet Santa. \nPlease only book tickets for the children. Adults do not need tickets. \nTickets go on sale on Monday 28th September at 10am! \nCome along to our Christmas Art Shack even if you’re not going to be seeing Santa\, it’s open to everyone! \n  \n \n  \n
